  • I had the stupidest idea to purchase a Roku stick. Not only it is as bad as it was on Roku 3 but practically not working. True, although I'm paying for a better internet, the speeds aren't even closer to what should be. Next stop: Verizon FiOS.

    We use the app on ROKUs and iPhones and iPads. All of them are showing ESPN on the TBS channel. What's up with this?? BTW the box is working fine and shows TBS on the TBS channel.

  • I have been using the TWC TV app on my Roku TV for a while now and up until a couple days ago it has been working fine. Now all of a sudden when I try to launch the App it says Smiley Frustratedession Error : Session expired, please relaunch the application" I have Uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and still no luck. TWC is to high to not be able to use the features that come with my subscription!

  • Since the last TWC Roku update, I've lost the favorites function. My previous selections have been retained, but I am unable to add/delete.   The add to favorites choice doesn't even show.   Anyone else?

      Close to a year ago, I connected a Roku player to my flat-screen TV. It works well, but I am wondering if I will eventually need a Digital Transfer Adaptor (DTA) once all analog TV channels are eliminated from my cable service in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, zip code 44077. I remember reading somewhere (I think it was on TWC's website) that subscribers using a Roku or any other type of streaming video player ahead of their TVs would not need a TWC-issued DTA when the analog channels are eliminated. To date I still have 53 analog channels on the cable, and 95 digital ones; they are all working excellently, great picture, sound, etc.

     

    I am also wondering when the analog service will disappear in this area. Since every other cable operator in this country has converted to 100 percent digital, requiring every subscriber, with no exceptions, to have a cable box ahead of the TV for the set to receive anything, I wonder when TWC will finally pull the plug on analog in my area. Apparently, this has already taken place in some Cleveland suburbs; I have a friend in Mayfield Heights who tells me all three TVs in his apartment now are connected to TW cable through cable boxes (I don't know if they are DTAs or standard HD boxes). My own TV here in Lake County is connected to TW cable, but I get reception (Starter TV, local channels only) via a Roku player. Again, if have only this player connected to my TV, but still have an active cable account with Time Warner, will I eventually need, as a minimum, a DTA to receive anything on the cable? As it stands now, I am receiving both analog and digital channels, the analog ones being 2, 3, 4, et al., the digital ones being 1002, 1003, 1004, etc. Why, if TW is eliminating analog channels, is my Roku still getting those channels along with the DTV ones? When the analog channels are finally removed from the cable, will my Roku still receive two sets of channels or, as I am expecting, just the DTV ones in the 1000s? I cannot seem to delete the analog channels from the list I see when I press the channel (left) button on my remote (RCA RCR313BR universal). The (right) button, however, will display the channel guide as normal.

  • 04/07/16--05:29: Roku - Session Error
  • For several days I have been receiving the error message, "Session Errror Session Expired, please relaunch the application". 

     

    Any idea when this will be fixed, or how to resolve?  Ive tried rebooting the Roku, removing and reinstalling the app, but, neither has worked. 

     

    Is anyone else having this problem?

  • For the last two days, the TWC Roku app has not been working on either of my TVs/Rokus. I off course have a current TWC TV subscription and a DVR box on one of my 3 TVs. All the other Roku channels that require a TWC TV subscription still work, so this is not a subscription issue to TWC TV or an issue with my two Rokus. I think others have had that problem recently.

    I am running the TWC app on my roku 3 and its performance is frustratingly inconsistent. I'm trying to narrow down reasons for it, not sure if it's my roku player, internet connection, or if it's a known problem with the app itself. When it works, it broadcasts in standard def. It hasn't always been this way, probably been 2 weeks since I've watched in HD. Anyone have any ideas on why?

  • I have a roku stick. All channels stream with no issues except for fox news & fox business. The channels hang and cause the roku to reboot.

    Maybe you can help. I can get NESN channel 27 on both tvs and on my computer, but can't get it on my roku attached with a HDMI to my other tv, and also not on my twc tv app on my phone. Suggestions? Thanks, Chris

    Hi all,

    After using the Roku in order to access my Time Warner cable subscription for several months now, I've found it to be pretty decent.  However, I noticed that the Weather Channel when accessed through the Roku TWC app is not targetted for my specific geographic region like it is when accessing that same channel via the traditional cable box.  The Weather Channel is not very useful when not geared to display local weather information.  Please adjust for users that access The Weather Channel via the Roku and other streaming options.  Thanks much for your help.

    there is a problem with the twc app on roku. this problem is occurring on two rokus in my home and next door neighbor just told me he is having this same problem. the rokus in my house are roku one and roku two and the neighbor has a roku three. here's the problem when watching the twc app, approximately every 30-45 minutes the program will freeze. it then kicks the app out and back to the roku bouncing reset icon. this has been occurring since an twc app update a few months ago. once booted out of the app, we must wait for roku to reset and then go back into the twc app. no problems occurred with app, until that update. please fix the app. there are plenty of people per this site who seem to be having the same problem, which began about the same time frame.

    I cannot see all of my channels on my plan including all of HD channels including Disney kids channels. Only a few available?  Why is that?  I was able to see all before I did my recent change in plan an boxes.

    There a few channels that were on my roku a few days ago but now are not in the channel lineup.

    I can access them from my time warner cable box but they do not appear on any of my rokus anymore. 

    I have not made any changes to my time warner account.

     

    I have removed and reinatalled the twc app.

    I have also rebooted the roku.

     

    None of this helped.

    sony vue is kicking twc's (edited) now, as both their and slingtv

    customers migrate over to vue's far better $30-$40 channels.

    While attempting to access the Time Warner Roku app, on occasion (I would say about every two weeks or so), I receive the following error:

     

    The program you have requested is only available when you are accessing this video service in your home, using a cable modem authorized by Time Warner Cable.

     

    Of course, I am home, attempting to use my Roku to access the service and therefore by definition am "using a cable modem authorized by Time Warner Cable".  Re-installing the Time Warner App does nothing, nor does resetting the Roku (this is 2 month old Roku 3).  Historically, if I wait long enough (less than an hour but more than a few minutes), all will be back to normal and I'll be able to access the service normally again.  

     

    I've already contacted Time Warner support through the official method, however despite assurances from the technician that I talked to, I never received a follow up to any attempt to get to a root cause or anything of the sort.

     

    As an aside, these are the exact types of issues that your customers are facing, made only worse by employing people who either don't know how to do their job effectively or just don't really care...  Any suggestions on how to effectively get to a permanent solution to this issue would be great..

    For the past week or so I have been getting ESPN newscenter on the TBS channel on my TWC app on my Roku and other devices It is fine on my tv, just messed up on my app..
