    Every night there is a different error that randomly shows up. Half the time I have to restart the app several times to get it to work. Worst streaming service I have ever used and the On Demand is a joke.

  • My spectrum app was not working for 3days,is there any compensation for this? I have Roku 3 system and usually I can reset my modem, Roku device and all is good. This time nothing works and unable to contact anyone!

  • As I try to get to the guide from live TV I keep getting this error. I see in this forum same thing was happening in 2017. Has this not been resolved yet? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled and unplugged Roku and plugged back in. Still getting same error.

  • 09/24/18--18:31: Constant App errors
  • I have 2 roku streaming sticks. The app use to work great. Now 5 of 10 login attempts fail. It tells me to check my connection. My connection shows full bars on a 5g signal. My router is 10 feet from my TV. Every other app works flawlessly when this error appears. Netflix, hulu, amazon prime and so on... all work perfectly. Then when the app does finally load after rebooting the roku, reconnecting to my network or uninstalling and reinstalling half the content wont load. It pops up an error saying content unavailable right now. I pay quite a bit for my internet and cable service. I kept one cable box and I use 2 roku's through the rest of the house to save 20 bucks on top of the 125 I already spend. Is this a ploy to push people off and get them to rent boxes instead?? I have 2 friends with very similar issues to me. It would be nice to see these constant error issues resolved. Otherwise I'll keep my internet and switch to sling.. or direct TV now.

  • 09/25/18--19:47: Errors with Ethernet Switch
  • My router is on one side of the house with a tv with an Roku ethernet device and 3 tv's are on the other side of the house so I can connect Roku devices.  I purchased a Ethernet switch and every time I attach the Switch the Spectrum App goes to heck.  Some errors  RLP-1035, RGE-1001, RUC-1000, RLP1025, RCH-1000

     

    The 3 tv's are NOT connected to the switch.  Why is the switch interferring with the App?

  • I've been unable to log into the Roku Spectrum TV App since 9/10/18 when I first signed up for the service.  For me this problem is unique to Spectrum.  I have a substantial number of Roku Apps I've used over the last decade and I have never, never been unable to log into a Roku App. 

     

    This afternoon I contacted a very nice person representing Spectrum who after trying to do some things to allow me to sign into the app, told me to wait 24 hours, then try signing again.

     

    As I said , she was very pleasant and I have nothing bad to say about her.

     

    Spectrum is a huge corporation and the idea that they are unable to produce a Roku App that allows you to sign in is beyond belief.  

     

    I say this even though Spectrum has given me download internet speeds that meet or exceed the advertised speeds I pay for.  At one time I paid for "up to" 300 mbps from TWC, but only actually got maybe 100 mbps and usually it was well under that.  Shortly after Spectrum took over the speeds shot up to 300 mbps and usually were higher.  Kudos to Spectum.

     

    Hence I am even more flabergasted by the Spectrum Roku App kerfuffel.It beggers belief, but it's true.

     

    The only thing I can do is try again in 24 hours and get ready to phone in when I am unable to sign in and hope for the best.

     

    It's all very disheartening and a little embarassing that Spectrum is unable to accomplish what I consider the most basic part of app development, letting the user log on.

    Ever since I switched out my internet modem with a Spectrum modem I was not able to connect to the Spectrum app on my Roku express.

    I kept getting a prompt to login (which I didn't get before) and  after trying to login with verified  good credentials I got the RLC-1000 error (Connect to Spectrum internet...)

    After a great deal of researching, resetting all devices, contacting Spectrum (useless), contacting  Roku (non-responsive). I finally figured out the solution.

    It appears that my router still had my old cable modem mac address cloned into it.  I just had to go into my router configuration and re-clone the new mac address for the new cable modem and the ROKU worked (without even having to login).  Hope this helps someone.

    So I am selecting networks to be presented with the wrong television show instead. For example, I'll select Cartoon Network to watch Family Guy on Adult Swim (At 11PM) and Teen Titans Go shows up instead. Its still doing it too, it's creepy and strange, I don't have a DVR service and am simply selecting the channel on my Roku, it's in a loop as well and plays the same show over and over again. I decided to add a photo of proof of this bizarre glitch.

    Update - I have even removed the application and signed back into it, it still does this.

  • Especially around the hour of 8 o'clock pm, the Spectrum app doesn't work properly with our Roku.  Constantly have problems since Spectrum took over.  Had TWC and never had so many problems.  Is Spectrum trying to have customers purchase their product?

    Starting this morning the Spectrum for Roku app disconnects from every channel after just a few minutes.  I launch a channel again, it appears, and a few minutes later, the same thing happens: it disconnects.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

     

    This is RIDICULOUS.  Other Roku channels seem to work just fine.  It's only Spectrum. 

     

    What is happening?  It's impossible to watch any of my cable channels with the spectrum Roku channel so hopelessly buggy.   FIX THIS.

    Please help.. the spectrum app keeps shutting down after ten seconds This just started after we got an Orbi WiFi system attached to the spectrum modem. It worked fine on the old spectrum WiFi box.

  • I am so frustrated with Spectrum Choice. Frequently, while in the middle of a show, all of a sudden the screen will go black and I get a message, sorry, something has gone wrong. Try again later. This is unacceptable!!! Frequently, if I go back to the channel, I'll get a message that I can start over with the show on demand. Also unacceptable. If I am 2/3 of the way through a show, I don't want to start at the beginning with no way to fast forward to where I left off.  What is going on? Is it that the internet is operating too slowly to stream the program?  Sometimes I will be able to get back into the show but the image looks like  a poor digital photo with low resolution. It is not acceptable to have to pay for service that doesn't work half the time.

    Today the Food Network app on Roku said I can't watch live TV and to "check my subcription lineup" even though I was literally using it yesterday and nothing has changed about my subscription. This has been happening over the past few months with channels I 100% subscribe to but now it seems I'm not allowed to use any channels app....

  • Don’t buy the choice app. It continuously goes out, especially local channels. Every time I call they tell me the app is new and they have not yet gotten it right yet. They shouldn’t have people pay for something that may or may not work. The outages are so frequent I am thinking of switching providers. It would be great if it worked

  • A Spectrum service person just left and fixed a slow internet speed issue.  He replaced the modem.  My router is the same.

     

    Now Spectrum won't work on my second tv where I use Roku.   It keeps asking for my sign in info which I enter correctly but never goes past that.

     

    What's going on?

    Any status? Trying to watch the Giants/Eagles game. This is funny how we get rain, and Charter claims, Dish goes out in the rain. We'll, we've got rain, and you're out too. I've had this service go out more than it's rained in the year so far.

  • i was previously using the modem router combination from spectrum and my spectrum tv app worked with Roku.    I recently exchanged it for just the modem at the Spectrum store and am using my own router which has better range.  Upon doing that, I can no longer get the spectrum tv ap to work on my tv's.  It works on phone and lap top.  I get error code RL-1000 after I input my spectrum user name and password.  Ive called support several times and they say they are working on a fix.....Why did it work with Spectrums router and not mine?
